Elton John and David Furnish – Together Since 1993
Elton John met David Furnish at a dinner party in 1993, and what started as a casual introduction turned into one of the most enduring partnerships in entertainment. Elton was newly sober and ready to open his heart; David, a Canadian ad exec, walked in and changed everything.
They entered a civil partnership in 2005, the very first day it was legal in the UK, and married in 2014 once marriage equality became law. Together, they’re raising two sons, Zachary and Elijah. In 2024, David co-directed Elton: Never Too Late, while Elton wrapped his final world tour to spend more time being “Daddy” instead of “Rocket Man.”
