Gordon Ramsay Is Not Passing On His Wealth to His Kids, And the Reason Will Shock You!

Gordon Ramsay’s kids aren’t only blessed to have a father with an astounding net worth, but they’re also lucky enough to enjoy the delicious foods this renowned celebrity chef makes for them every day. While Ramsey may come off as an extremely tough boss on camera, judging from his fierce persona on the cooking show, Hell’s Kitchen, the chef is a total softie at heart and a doting father in real life.
But even though Ramsay loves to spoil his children with his cooking, the chef says he doesn’t want his kids to inherit a single dime from his massive fortune. The reason? It’s because he wants them to work hard and not depend on his wealth to achieve their dreams. If this unique parenting decision shocked you, don’t worry, you’re not alone!
The Reason
With his net worth climbing to an astounding $190 million, Ramsay hails as the wealthiest celebrity chef of all time. While most TV personalities want to spoil their kids with their massive fortune and even set up trust funds for them to inherit their estate after their death, this isn’t the case with Ramsay who practices tough love with his kids. According to him, wealth can often have a bad influence on children. Ramsay doesn’t want his kids to end up fighting over his fortune and think they can live an unambitious life without working hard or chasing their dreams. Instead, he wants them to stand up on their own two feet and learn to make their own way in life.

Ramsay also wants his kids to value humility, family, commitment and dedication instead of treating money as their everything
Ramsay said he’s never been turned on about having too much money, even though he knows it’s important to support our lives. It’s never been his number one objective why he’s working hard as a celebrity chef. So far, Ramsay’s glad his good traits are rubbing off on his kids. He’s ecstatic to see his children not spoiling themselves in lavish things. Instead, they work hard to save up some money, or even work for it to raise the funds they need before buying what they want.
The Inheritance
According to Ramsay, he and his wife, Tana, only agreed to give 25% of their wealth to their children. With this initial investment, kids would have to work hard to multiply their wealth without leaning on their father’s name. Ramsay’s strict upbringing isn’t only limited to his last will. It even extends to their travel getaways.

Ramsay says to his children they’ll be able to appreciate these lavish things more when you’ve grafted for it
According to the renowned chef, he and his wife get to take first-class seats while flying whereas their children would have to sit in economy class. He explained that his kids haven’t worked hard enough to afford to buy first-class seats yet, so they are not entitled to this luxury yet. These parenting rules might seem strict to most people, but Gordon explains that it is in his kids’ best interest.
The Outcome

Fortunately, Ramsay also says his children understand his principles, and they also applied them to their lives wholeheartedly
So, he and his wife would end up turning on the left while their children go to the right aisle. He also leaves instructions to the chief stewardess to make sure his children won’t come anywhere near them since he wants to sleep soundly during their plane ride.
