“Grand Theft Auto VI” Cover Art Revealed
Rockstar Games gave fans a fresh look at “Grand Theft Auto VI” after releasing the game’s official cover art on Thursday. The announcement quickly drew attention as the studio also confirmed that pre-orders would begin on June 25 through digital storefronts and selected retailers.
Alongside a short video shared on Instagram, Rockstar Games stated, “Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers.”
The newly released artwork stayed true to the recognizable visual style seen throughout the “Grand Theft Auto” series. Lead characters Lucia and Jason appeared prominently at the top of the cover, placing the game’s central duo front and center.
Vice City Took Center Stage
The cover also showcased Vice City, the game’s Miami-inspired setting. Palm trees, a boat, and an alligator appeared throughout the artwork. Several supporting characters also featured in the background.
Rockstar did not reveal the game’s price. As a result, the cost remained unknown ahead of the June 25 pre-order launch.
“Grand Theft Auto VI” was scheduled for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The story followed Lucia and Jason as they pursued a life of crime together in Vice City.
The franchise last released “Grand Theft Auto V” in 2013. That title sold more than 200 million copies and continued receiving updates through “Grand Theft Auto Online.” Rockstar also brought the game to newer platforms, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The series previously visited Vice City in the 2002 release “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.” That game became one of the franchise’s most memorable entries, making the return to the fictional city a major point of interest for longtime players.
