How Does The Color Of Your Car Determine Its Resale Value?
While buying a car, what is your least concern? Is it the color of the car? Well, for many new car buyers, color is the last thing they think about. Instead, they would go for the horse powers or fancy design. If you are among those, watch out! You are on the wrong side of the aisle. A recent study from iSeeCars suggests that color should be the top priority of every car buyer. And there is a reason behind that. If you want to resell your car after driving it for a year or two, the color of your car will play a major role.

In other words, if your car color is unique and of rarity, it will retain its value. Consequently, you will be able to sell it at a great price. On the other hand, if your car color falls in the traditional category, you will not be able to sell it. Or, if you did, it will be at a compromised price. Of course, you will not want to opt for either of these options. So, how about choosing the right color and turning it into a potential investment? A car that not only looks fancy but also pays you back in profit. Certainly, it is a sensible idea.
What Car Color is A Rarity?
Essential as it is to know the fact that the color of your car is essential at the time of reselling it. It is equally important to know what car colors are considered rarities. In other words, what colors are considered unique that you should buy.

Well, it turns out that there are a couple of them. Here is the list of car colors that are considered rarities:
- Purple
- Red
- Green
- Blue
- Gray
However, the report from iSeeCars indicates that purple is the most unique car color, followed by red and green. Essentially, these colors are more ‘loud’ and are swift in catching the attention of beholders. That is why they are widely loved colors. Similarly, they also have high demand in the used market.
So, choose the color wisely if you want to buy a new car. If you opt for the rare colors, chances are you can make a decent profit from your used car after driving it for years.

What Car Color Has No Value in the Used Market?
Apart from the trending car colors, it is also important to know the colors with no demand in the used market. According to iSeeCars, yellow is the least demanded color in the used market.
Likewise, the report also shows that dark and boring colors, like black, are the car colors you would want to refrain from. The report also highlights that common colors have no demand in the market. So, label white on your no-no list.
